It starts with a pretty good pile of Red Oak and Cherry.

The Cherry here is prepared and is ready for resawing to 1/2" thickness.

Then I bookmatch them after resawing and glued them together as panels.

The Red Oak has been machined with grooves and tenons where needed.  The decorative cuts have been made on the legs and the arch cuts done on the bottom rails.

I stained the Red Oak a Rosewood color before assembly to avoid  mistakes on the Cherry panels.

Now I assemble the carcass.

The bottom shelf is Birch plywood and is lined with cedar.

Next step was to assemble the top trim and attach the top to the carcass.

Sealed it with a Danish Oil only on the outside.  One coat brushed on, the second hand rubbed. Then its waxed and buffed.
