Side-Entry Oak Curio

Most of what I've done are from plans that I either bought or drew up on my own.  This project was the first furniture project that was pretty much done without plans.  The base was from one set of plans, the front frame was from another set, and the rest was pretty much out of my head.  It did turn out well.  This is for my Father-In-Law to display his model cars that he builds.  I provided 5 glass shelves with polish edges (1/4" thick) as well as glass doors on both sides in two levels.  The front glass is 1/8" double-strength glass.  Since the front frame is permanently installed, the back will screw off to get to the glass clips should the front glass need to be replaced.  (1/2007)
