Oak Side Tables

I have the parts ready.  All solid Oak.

I completed a dry fit.  Next will be sanding and dressing the legs and rails, then I'll assemble them.

Now that the main assembly is complete, I'll finish the dressing, make the top and then the drawers.

Now that the drawers are completed and the tops attached, we're ready for finish.

Drawer opens pretty far...

First time using a Dove Tailing Jig to form half-blind dovetails.  Not too bad...

Now the finish... First Garnet Shellac to seal the piece and give it a golden base.

Then they are stained with a Red Mahogany Oil Stain.

Then I applied a Candlelight Gel Stain, then a Dark Brown Mahogany Gel Stain.

Six coats of Urethane and a wax coat on the top... And here they are.
